AuthLookup.com does not require an account and does not ask for personal information to run a DNS lookup.

Lookup Data

When you submit a lookup, the domain or host, DNS record type, resolver choice, request time, and network metadata are processed by the server to perform the lookup, protect the service, and troubleshoot abuse or errors.

Statistics and Logs

AuthLookup.com keeps aggregate usage statistics, such as lookup totals by hour, resolver, and record type. These aggregate counters are used to understand usage, detect unusual patterns, and generate operational reports. They do not include queried domain names, full IP addresses, user agents, or per-request lookup histories.

For short-term diagnostics, failed or otherwise problematic DNS lookups may be logged for up to 14 days with the queried host, record type, resolver, timestamp, DNS status, elapsed time, and server error details. These diagnostic records do not include your IP address, user agent, request headers, or successful lookup history.

The origin server may also keep short-term access logs containing request metadata such as time, path, method, status, duration, response size, and source address. These logs are used to detect or prevent abuse, investigate reliability issues, and diagnose incidents. They do not include DNS lookup request bodies, contact form message contents, or request headers, and are rotated on a short retention period.

Contact Form

If you use the contact form, your name, email address, and message are processed to send and respond to your enquiry. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse protection and AuthSMTP to deliver email. If email delivery is temporarily unavailable, sanitized contact submissions may be held in a local delivery queue until they can be retried. They are removed after successful delivery and are not retained in the queue for longer than seven days.

AuthLookup.com does not collect or require an email address to use the DNS lookup service. We receive an email address only when you choose to submit the contact form, and use it only to respond to that enquiry or handle a directly related operational or security matter. Submitting the form does not create an account or subscribe you to service notifications or marketing.

We do not sell or rent contact email addresses, add them to third-party marketing lists, or use them for unsolicited bulk email. Any future optional marketing would require a separate clear choice and provide a straightforward way to unsubscribe.

Infrastructure

Traffic may pass through Cloudflare, which provides DNS, TLS, firewall, bot protection, health checks, and rate-limiting services. Cloudflare may process request metadata according to its own policies.

Cookies and Local Storage

AuthLookup.com itself does not set application cookies. Cloudflare security features may set cookies or issue browser checks when enabled. If you choose Auto, Light, or Dark with the theme selector, that preference is stored in your browser's local storage so it can be applied on future visits. The preference is not sent to AuthLookup.com and is not used for tracking.
